Skull Chatter (Vol. 2 No. 3)
We now find ourselves deep into the Autumn season. Our days are shorter and the leaves of trees have recently turned toward new hues and colors to reveal a most remarkable spectacle. The inexorable movement and familiar parade of the seasons remind us of our wonderfully ordered Cosmos and inspires many to admire Nature and natural ways. A suitable period of rest and repose has now been enjoyed since our exciting Summer edition, Vol. 2 No. 2, last graced your mailboxes and reading rooms. Opinion has it that our Autumn edition may prove less provocative or sensational than our previous blockbuster edition and issue. Despite inevitable comparisons, I am given to think that this situation may be greeted by many readers as something of a relief.
Excitement gives way to calm, and confusion to deep understanding. Despite an avalanche of words the fact remains that there is only one living member of the Adi Nath sect. That individual is of course Shri Gurudev Mahendranath. Those westerners who are still parading around in sadhu togs but without the sadhu ordination are, in this writer’s estimation, obviously beyond the reach of honest self-evaluation or good taste.
On a sweeter note, it can be related that many fire tongs are stirring at the dhuni of the International Order of Naths with fragrant and fresh offerings. Several noteworthy aspirants have recently come forward with our latest initiate being ordained at our August celebration of the Full Moon Eclipse. This event took place at our newly consecrated North American Nath Pilgrimage place. Jadu Stone Circle is located in a secluded desert region of Eastern Washington. High above the canyon floor our lonely ridge affords a natural setting and geological wonderland free from the intrusions of modern civilization or the merely curious. Liberal deposits of volcanic ash add to the natural beauty of this curiously lunar landscape. Those who have experienced this power place agree that it is ideal for group work and those arts concerning the Magickal Phantasmagoria of the Cosmic Spirit.
We are pleased to offer you a segment of Hermeticusnath’s latest MS, Poetry by Shri Gurudev Mahendranath and the review of a new book on Shamanism which was brought to our attention by the publishers of the Brotherhood of Life. As autumn leaves now fall to their resting place, I bring this chat to a close with our wish for a Quantum of Happiness, Peace and Freedom for you all.
