A Schism in the Transmission
A new page gathers Shri Gurudev Mahendranath’s letters to Kapilnath on initiation and the 1989 succession, with notes by Sri Kapilnath from 2015 and 2025.
It is a record, not a substitute for the living work. Read it if you want that account.
The manuscripts used in this issue belong to the same years. They remain on the site.
From the Scrolls
Two notes on transmission as a life, and on work done together.

Transmission as a Life
Close your eyes, and then you too will shine.
— Dadaji
Shri Gurudev Mahendranath did not treat transmission as a certificate. In The Magick Path of Tantra he tells how the Uttara Kaula current reached him: a fountain-pen salesman, a wrong guru, a Sikh raja, and then Pagala Baba on the edge of Ranchi, the last of that line, who had refused almost everyone.
The meeting is ordinary until it is not. Tea and biscuits. Questions that probe both knowledge and opinion. A return the next day. Then the Kali temple, the door locked from outside, stone floor, and the instruction that arrives in the light: “Close your eyes, and then you too will shine.”
When the hour ended he thought ten minutes had passed. Years later he wrote that the psychic link forged there had never been broken.
That is transmission in his telling: contact, not a certificate. The old sadhu form was not what he planted on householders.

Togetherness is Essential
The real knowledge and power we seek is locked away in the mind of every individual, awaiting your efforts to release and expand it.
— Dadaji
The Scroll Called Synergetikos is Dadaji’s note on how a pagan, occult, Nath way of life actually grows. The subtitle is the argument: the magick alchemy of working and developing together. Not a hierarchy of crowns. Not a scatter of small groups defending their top spot.
He is blunt. We are not separate and distant people. We flourish in communities of similar wish. Groups may differ and still meet. Ego and pride, he says, take the place of sincere investigation when everyone is afraid of losing a paper crown. Then the line he repeats as if he knows we will ignore it:
Togetherness is essential!
— Dadaji
The inner work is named in the same scroll. Free thinking is hard at first because the mind doing the thinking is already washed. Meditation, ritual, and puja loosen that. Then the three super faculties — Insight, Intuition, Imagination — do more than decorate a philosophy. They let you plan a life and know what you actually believe.
The knowledge is not in a textbook. It is in the mind, waiting on effort. The effort is both solitary and shared. That is the whole scroll.
Direct Practice
This month’s working is the puja Dadaji wrote for the three faculties named in Synergetikos.

Think, Experiment, Document
Let us develop this faculty, enjoy and share our creations that they will expand the INO, that Humanity will enter a new pattern of life and elevate its being on to a higher level.
— Dadaji
The Puja of the Three Super Faculties sits inside The Magick Path of Tantra. Dadaji wrote it as praise, not as a diagram.
Insight sees what a thing is. Intuition knows without the long argument. Imagination builds a life that can be inhabited, and, in his wording, can expand the INO.
This month, use his puja. Read the salutations slowly. Give each faculty attention. Write what happened, including what happens later, outside the sitting. The puja is the work.
