Skull Chatter (Vol. 3 No. 2)
Autumnal Greetings, and a pleasant Hello form The Open Door. A quick glance at my calendar reminds me that the days of Summer passed by without a peep, pop or squeak from our Open Door. No cause for alarm, an important period of transmutation and Work spilled over into Autumn, so we now file this report and update for the amusement and edification of our many friends and members.
Our recent production of The Scrolls of Mahendranath has not surprisingly brought a fresh influx of interest and activity to our Order. I think this enlivened spirit was most tangibly experienced and enjoyed at our annual Guru Purnima celebration held this year on July 7th. Our location for Guru Purnima 1990 was a small island just off the coast of British Columbia, Canada. The natural beauty of this setting and the significance of the international participation gave all present a sense of satisfaction and progress. The sound of mantras filled the air as our Dhuni was fed not only by our intentions and energy vibes, but also by an interesting collection of unusually fragrant offerings. Six hours later, little was left except for a fine white ash, and the participants settled down a bit to relax and enjoy the downpour of grace which such a rite produces. A new Devi was given initiation during this evening and a few other candidates are now making their countdowns as they await initiation into our Cosmic Order.
Since Guru Purnima of last July, two other outdoor energy shrines were also put into operation and energized. While our individual spiritual work and development remains of primary importance for all Naths who are seriously treading the path of attainment, group work often exerts a stimulating effect on those new to our ways. Individuals at such a rite or occasion have the opportunity to not only participate in an ancient form of spiritual worship, but they are also aided by the mind transmission and energy vibes of those present who are perhaps more experienced. An occasion and spiritual observance such as this often allows the sincere to experience the communion with vibrations and energy levels seldom experienced in everyday life.
On the 29th of April, 1991, our Gurudev Mahendranath will be reaching his 80th birthday, and we will be assembling in or near Seattle for a special observance of this occasion. For this date and event, we would like to invite a delegate from AMOOKOS or other national or international zonules to come to Seattle and participate in our celebration. Groups working together to sponsor a delegate for such a visit would be a bit of magick much applauded by many quarters. So please spread the word and let’s have a timely response to our friendly invitation. The end of April is some time off, so we are bringing this up now to allow ample time for discussion and planning. Hope you make it.
MAGIKOS recently met and gave consideration to a number of questions which were brought up concerning our Order. To address these issues, Shri Jadu Garudanath picks up the pen and relates a discourse of Q and A which we now offer without further ado.
