Northwest Nath Notes (Vol. 1 No. 1)
The Pacific Northwest has seen a flowering of the Nath current in the last year. Many initiations have occurred and our Kula Family has grown bright with many new stars. Among those initiated was the Wizardess known as “Nema” to the occult community. She is the channel of “Maat Material,” including Liber Pennae Praenumbra, a powerful work familiar to many. Welcome, Padme Devi!
This Spring and Summer will see an extended series of Twilight Tantra seminars by Hermeticusnath. These workshops are crafted to open to the public a door to our Weirdglow Wizardry. Those interested in our Kaula Path are also welcome to weekly pujas and discussions held by Kapilnath and Lalana Devi at their temple.
A significant event occurred on the Spring Equinox in Seattle. The night before the Taoist/Tantric marriage of Sophia Devi and Hermeticusnath (at the Ling Shen Ching Tze Temple in Renton, WA), many Naths from the Northwest and New York City gathered for the first time. Those in attendance were:
Kapilnath, Seattle; Lalana Devi, Seattle; Hermeticusnath, Seattle; Sophia Devi, Seattle; Shyamanath, NYC; Suparni Devi, NYC; Garudanath, Seattle; Sekhmet Devi, Seattle; Bhavanath, Portland, OR; Kunda Devi, Portland, OR.
The Initiation Ritual by Shri Gurudev Mahendranath was performed in unison as it was voiced by each in turn. A powerful spell of unity was woven. Feasting, Rejoicing, Music, and Magick were enjoyed by all.
Other projects are also underway. In July, at a gallery in Seattle, a full-room exhibit called Earthspirit Temple will be installed for one month. This will be an art-temple created with ceramic, sculpture, paintings, tapestries, and mixed media. Flowers, yantras, incense, music, and ritual will create a True Tantrik Temple for the public to experience.
More publications centering on Shri Gurudev Mahendranath’s work are planned by several Naths. All and all we see our constellation of Naths growing and evolving in many directions.
